Job Description

Job Overview:
Appalachian Dental Associates is currently seeking a full time Registered Dental Assistant for our growing office. Our family dental practice is a dual doctor practice that treats patients of all ages. We provide a wide range of dental services, including, but not limited to, oral surgery, general restorative, implant prosthetics, endodontics, pediatric care, periodontal treatment, as well as cosmetic dentistry. We incorporate the latest technologies to provide quality dentistry with current standards of care and beyond. We are looking for a career oriented, dependable, and dedicated person to add to our team. As an assistant you will be assisting with patient care, treatment planning, and patient education.
Duties:
  • Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including preparing the treatment area and sterilizing instruments
  • Take dental x-rays
  • Perform patient assessments, including recording medical history and vital signs
  • Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
  • Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-treatment care
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient privacy and confidentiality
  • Assist with dental receptionist duties as needed, including scheduling appointments and managing patient records in Eaglesoft software.
Experience:
  • Must be a Registered Dental Assistant in the state of Tennessee
  • Proficiency in taking patient vital signs and performing patient assessments
  • Knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology
  • Familiarity with Eaglesoft software for managing patient records
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
  • Experience with dental x-ray procedures
  • Familiarity with CDT codes for accurate billing and insurance claims We offer competitive pay based on experience, healthcare stipend, CE training opportunities, paid time off and holiday pay and uniforms are provided.
