Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to join our vibrant dental team. In this role, you will provide exceptional chairside assistance, ensure smooth clinical operations, and support patient care with professionalism and compassion. Responsibilities Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary equipment, and ensuring all dental tools meet infection prevention standards. Take and develop dental x-rays and medical imaging while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Manage patient records using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality of medical documentation. Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize efficiency and patient comfort. Monitor vital signs and assist in assessing patient health before procedures, especially in pediatric or medically complex cases. Maintain dental equipment, including 3D scanners and other advanced tools, ensuring proper function and sterilization per infection control policies. Support administrative tasks such as patient management software updates, appointment scheduling, and answering patient inquiries as a dental receptionist when needed. Follow clinical confidentiality policies strictly while maintaining a professional demeanor during all interactions. Uphold healthcare infection prevention standards through aseptic techniques and proper sterilization procedures for all dental instruments. Qualifications Valid registration as a Dental Assistant with current licensure or certification required by state law. Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures. Proficiency in EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; familiarity with patient management software is preferred. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology relevant to dental care. Experience performing X-ray procedures, including dental x-ray techniques for both adult and pediatric patients. Knowledge of infection control practices, including dental sterilization procedures and healthcare infection prevention protocols. Ability to perform clinical tasks such as vital signs measurement, medical imaging, instrument processing, and aseptic technique adherence. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and provide outstanding patient care. A proactive attitude with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
