Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS
Must maintain an active Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) License registered with the Texas State Board of Dental Examiners (TSBDE) Current certification in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA and Infection Control training Minimum 1 year dental leadership experience preferred Minimum 1 year orthodontic dental assistant experience preferred Dental practice management software (Open Dental/Dentrix) experience preferred Bilingual (Spanish) is required High school diploma or equivalent required
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assist with Orthodontist in treating patient Instruct patient of elastic treatment Making Patient Safety and Team Safety the number one priority Adhering to OSHA and Infection Control Protocols Maintaining and upkeeping digital patient information Preparing tray set-ups according to doctor preferences and planned procedures Educating patients and parents on the benefits of good oral health Monitoring the patient's physical and emotional well-being during the entire visit Helping the Rodeo Team maintain office cleanliness and IC protocol Mixing amalgam, cement, and preparing impression materials Pouring, trimming, and polishing impression trays Assisting with bonding, banding, adjusting, and debonding orthodontic patients Placing and cementing bands Setting up orthodontic brackets and removing excess cement from brackets and bands Making retainers, bleaching trays, and impressions Ensures orthodontic team members embrace the perfect appointment and flow Point person for orthodontic escalations Coaching, training, and developing orthodontic team members

Prolonged sitting and standing as needed Ability to lift up to 15 lbs
