Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our dental team and ensuring a positive experience for our patients. This position requires proficiency in various dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and a strong understanding of dental terminology and practices. Duties Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available. Take and develop X-rays as required, adhering to safety protocols and regulations. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA standards. Manage patient flow and assist with scheduling appointments as a dental receptionist when needed. Educate patients on oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans. Monitor vital signs and assist with medical imaging as necessary. Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and aseptic techniques throughout the clinic. Support pediatric dentistry efforts by providing compassionate care to younger patients. Skills Proficiency in Dentrix. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and infection control practices. Experience with chairside assisting in general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry is highly desirable. Ability to perform medical documentation accurately while maintaining patient confidentiality. Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients of all ages. A solid understanding of vital signs monitoring and basic medical terminology is beneficial.
