Modern office setting We are seeking a team-oriented, compassionate and highly motivated Dental Assistant to join our dental practice. The right individual for this position will be an active member of our dental team and will take an active interest in learning more about the field of dentistry. Other responsibilities of the Dental Assistant include helping with preventative dental care, providing dental hygiene instruction, taking x-rays and keeping up to date patient records.

Responsibilities:

Assist the dentist and dental hygienist with patient treatment. Perform dental care procedures, such as administering anesthesia and preparing solutions for use in treatment. Help set up and maintain sterile dental hygiene environment. Answer telephone calls, schedule appointments, acknowledge patients, explain fees and payment plans and cash payments. Prepare equipment and instruments for the dentist's use. Prepare the room for treatment; i.e., sterilize instruments, arrange instruments on tray, prepare cotton swabs or sponges for use during treatment.
