Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing quality dental care to our patients. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting the dentist during procedures, preparing treatment rooms, ensuring the comfort of patients, and sterilization. Duties for

RDA:

• Prepare treatment rooms for dental procedures by sterilizing instruments and disinfecting surfaces
• Assist the dentist during procedures by handing them instruments, suctioning, and providing other necessary support
• Take and develop dental x-rays as directed by the dentist
• Perform dental charting and record patient information in electronic systems such as Eaglesoft.
• Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and ensure patient confidentiality
• Provide patient education on oral hygiene practices, post-operative care, and treatment options
• Ensure infection control protocols are followed at all times
• Maintain inventory of dental supplies and equipment, placing orders as needed

Skills:

• Proficiency in dental practice management systems such as Eaglesoft
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and patient privacy requirements
• Experience with dental imaging technology for dental x-rays
• Strong understanding of infection control protocols in a dental setting
• Knowledge of dental anatomy and terminology
• Experience with computer-assisted design (CAD) software for creating dental prosthetics is a plus
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other dental professionals
