In this vital role, you will assist with chairside procedures, manage patient records, and ensure infection control protocols are meticulously followed. Your energetic and detail-oriented approach will help create a welcoming environment for patients of all ages, especially in pediatric dentistry settings. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your expertise in a fast-paced, supportive clinic dedicated to excellence in dental health. Duties Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including restorations, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry treatments. Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments and materials, ensuring aseptic technique and infection control standards are maintained. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), including 3D scans, while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy. Manage electronic medical records using EMR systems such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, and Epic to document treatment details accurately. Perform vital signs assessments and medical imaging to support comprehensive patient evaluations. Support administrative tasks by functioning as a dental receptionist, scheduling appointments, and managing patient flow efficiently. Practice four-handed dentistry alongside the dentist to enhance workflow and patient comfort. Requirements Valid certification as a Registered Dental Assistant with current licensure. Proven experience in dental assisting within general dentistry or specialized fields like prosthodontics or endodontics. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental care. Proficiency in using dental software such as Dentrix, Eaglesoft, and EMR systems like Epic; familiarity with medical coding is a plus. Ability to operate X-ray equipment safely and effectively while maintaining infection control standards. Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times. Experience working with pediatric patients is highly desirable; certification or experience in pediatric dentistry is preferred.
