In this energetic position, you will support dental professionals by ensuring infection control protocols are strictly followed, assisting with patient management, and preparing dental instruments and equipment for daily procedures. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will contribute to a positive patient experience and uphold the highest standards of clinical excellence. Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments following strict infection prevention management and aseptic techniques. Manage patient flow efficiently by scheduling appointments, updating medical records, and verifying patient information in patient management software. Take and develop dental x-rays and 3D scans while adhering to dental sterilization procedures and radiation safety protocols. Monitor vital signs and medical documentation to ensure patient safety throughout their visit. Maintain clinical confidentiality policies by accurately documenting medical records and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Operate dental equipment such as Eaglesoft, and facilitate smooth clinic operations. Experience Previous experience working in a dental clinic setting is highly preferred, especially with general dentistry or pediatric dentistry environments. Proficiency in dental assisting tasks including chairside assisting, dental instrument processing, and dental sterilization procedures. Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and healthcare infection prevention and control expertise. Familiarity with EMR (Electronic Medical Records. Demonstrated understanding of dental x-ray techniques. Ability to operate dental imaging equipment like X-ray machines and 3D scanners confidently. Strong communication skills as a dental receptionist or in patient care roles are beneficial for managing patient interactions effectively.
