  • 6pm Monday and Wednesday 9:30am

  • 3pm Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment according to infection prevention management protocols.
Assist dentists during a variety of procedures including oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring all tools are ready and accessible. Take and develop dental x-rays and 3D scans while maintaining strict adherence to dental sterilization procedures and aseptic techniques. Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collect vital signs and medical history information from patients to support comprehensive dental care planning. Provide patient management support by explaining procedures, answering questions, and ensuring comfort throughout visits. Maintain clinical confidentiality policies while managing medical documentation and dental records with precision. Requirements Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures. Proficiency with dental assisting tools, dental terminology, dental equipment, and medical imaging technology. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; experience with patient management software is highly desirable. Strong understanding of infection control practices including dental sterilization procedures, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection prevention standards. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently in four-handed dentistry setups for increased productivity. Knowledge of anatomy relevant to oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry is preferred. Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members including dental receptionists and other healthcare professionals. Certification in X-ray techniques for dental radiography; additional certifications in medical documentation or medical terminology are advantageous.
