As a Dental Assistant, you will be the backbone of our patient experience, ensuring smooth procedures, maintaining clinical excellence, and upholding the highest standards of infection control and confidentiality. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment in accordance with dental sterilization procedures and infection prevention management policies. Assist dentist during a variety of treatment procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry with chairside assisting techniques such as four-handed dentistry. Take and develop dental X-rays and 3D scans using advanced medical imaging tools like the digital X-ray systems and 3D scanners to aid in accurate diagnosis and treatment planning. Manage patient records by updating medical documentation, medical records, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for clinical confidentiality policies. Provide excellent patient care by managing patient management software, taking vital signs, explaining procedures using proper dental terminology, and addressing patient questions or concerns professionally. Support the dental team with dental instrument processing, ensuring all tools are properly sterilized and maintained according to infection control standards. Assist with administrative duties such as greeting patients as a dental receptionist, scheduling appointments, and managing patient flow efficiently to optimize clinic operations. Requirements Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of dental equipment, medical terminology, and clinical procedures. Proficiency in EMR systems such as Curve or similar patient management software. Strong understanding of infection prevention management, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection control expertise. Ability to perform dental X-ray procedures accurately while adhering to safety protocols for radiation exposure. Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry along with proficiency in medical documentation and records management. Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with the dental team and provide compassionate patient care. Certification or training in dental assisting or related fields is preferred; ongoing education related to pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, or endodontics is a plus. Should be comfortable with both kids and adult patients.
