Duties Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies and equipment are ready for procedures Assist dentists during a variety of dental treatments, including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray), ensuring adherence to infection prevention management and aseptic techniques Manage patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, maintaining clinical confidentiality policies at all times Provide patient care by taking vital signs, explaining procedures, and addressing patient questions to foster comfort and trust Process dental instruments according to sterilization procedures, ensuring compliance with healthcare infection prevention standards Support patient management through scheduling appointments, updating medical documentation, and assisting with administrative tasks like greeting patients as a dental receptionist Requirements Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of dental terminology, equipment, and clinical procedures Proficiency in EMR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix; familiarity with patient management software is highly desirable Strong understanding of infection control protocols, including dental sterilization procedures and aseptic technique Ability to perform dental X-ray imaging accurately while following radiation safety guidelines Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry and medical terminology related to oral health conditions Excellent communication skills to effectively assist patients and coordinate with team members in a four-handed dentistry setup Certification or training in dental assisting; additional certifications in pediatric dentistry or oral surgery are a plus Commitment to maintaining clinical confidentiality policies and adhering to healthcare infection prevention standards Embark on a rewarding career where your skills directly impact patients' smiles!
