What We're Looking For The right person for our team is someone who: Genuinely enjoys working with children and families Is friendly, upbeat, and comfortable interacting with parents Has excellent customer service and communication skills Is reliable and shows up ready to work Pays attention to the little details Can learn quickly and retain new information Is comfortable in a busy, fast-paced environment Can multitask without losing track of what needs to be done Takes initiative but also knows when to ask for help Works well as part of a team Is confident using computers and technology—we are a fully digital office Understands that helping a nervous child feel comfortable is just as important as the clinical side of the job Dental Assistant Responsibilities Your day may include: Helping children and parents feel welcomed and comfortable throughout their visit Listening to and addressing individual patient and parent concerns Comforting and supporting children who may be nervous or anxious Preparing patients for treatment and assisting the dentist during procedures Taking radiographs and intraoral photos efficiently and accurately Recording charting and clinical notes in the digital patient record as directed by the dentist Taking and understanding basic pediatric vital signs Sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, equipment, and treatment areas Providing postoperative and general oral health instructions as directed by the dentist Assisting with patient management during sedation appointments Helping keep operatories stocked, organized, and ready for patients Making sure equipment is properly maintained according to manufacturer guidelines Pitching in wherever needed to help the day run smoothly Requirements Previous dental experience required Pediatric dental experience strongly preferred Experience as a Dental Assistant or Patient Coordinator in a pediatric dental setting is a plus High school diploma or equivalent required Reliable transportation to our Leesburg office Comfortable working with children of different ages, personalities, and comfort levels Strong computer skills Dependable and able to work the practice schedule Why Join Tooth Clues?
