Job Description

Job Summary Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant, where your enthusiasm and expertise will directly enhance patient care and clinical efficiency. In this vital role, you will support dentists during procedures, manage patient flow, and ensure the highest standards of infection control and sterilization. Your proactive approach will help create a welcoming environment for patients while maintaining smooth clinic operations. Duties Assist dentists chairside during a variety of procedures including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and oral surgery treatments. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing and organizing dental instruments and equipment according to infection prevention management policies. Take digital dental radiographs (X-ray) ensuring proper technique and patient safety in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Manage patient records accurately using electronic medical records (EMR) systems; Dentrix ascend, ensuring confidentiality at all times. Perform vital signs assessments and medical documentation to support comprehensive patient care. Educate patients on oral health practices, post-treatment care, and necessary follow-up appointments. Flexibility to work with multiple doctors Skills Proficiency with Dentrix ascend , or similar EMR systems for accurate record keeping. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and clinical procedures including dental x-ray techniques and oral surgery protocols. Expertise in dental instrument processing, sterilization procedures, aseptic technique, and infection control standards aligned with healthcare infection prevention policies. Experience with dental equipment operation including 3D scanners, dental sterilizers, and other clinical tools used in general dentistry and specialized fields like prosthodontics or endodontics. Ability to perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to optimize procedure efficiency. Excellent communication skills for effective patient management and collaboration within the dental team. Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 37.0 per week
