Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, extensive clinical expertise, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care. As the Lead Dental Assistant, you will oversee daily clinical operations, support the dental team, and ensure adherence to all safety and infection control protocols. Responsibilities Coordinate the activities of dental assistants and support staff to ensure smooth clinical operations. Assist with chairside procedures, including providing support during complex treatments such as oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and general dentistry. Manage patient flow efficiently using patient management software using Dentrix. Ensure all dental instruments and equipment are properly sterilized, maintained, and prepared in accordance with infection prevention management policies. Take dental X-rays while adhering to HIPAA regulations and radiation safety standards. Maintain accurate documentation, including medical records, vital signs, and treatment notes in compliance with clinical confidentiality policies. Provide training and mentorship to team members on infection control procedures, aseptic techniques, dental terminology, and the proper use of dental equipment. Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant with a strong background in clinical assisting within general dentistry or specialized fields such as oral surgery or prosthodontics. Proficiency in systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, infection control standards, and dental sterilization procedures. Familiarity with advanced dental technologies including iTero scanners. Strong understanding of dental terminology, anatomy knowledge, and dental documentation practices. Excellent communication skills combined with a professional attitude focused on patient care excellence. $30.00 - $34.00 per hour Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
