Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and become a vital part of delivering exceptional oral healthcare! In this energetic role, you will support dentists in providing comprehensive dental treatments, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining a smooth clinic workflow. Your expertise in dental procedures, patient management, and infection control will help create a welcoming environment where patients feel cared for and confident in their dental experience. Duties Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures including general dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry Prepare and sterilize dental instruments and equipment following strict infection prevention management protocols Take and develop dental x-rays and 3D scans using advanced medical imaging technology to aid diagnosis and treatment planning Manage patient records accurately using electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and clinical confidentiality policies Provide chairside assistance by handling dental instruments, maintaining aseptic technique, and supporting four-handed dentistry practices Monitor vital signs and ensure patient comfort throughout procedures while demonstrating excellent patient care skills Support administrative tasks such as patient management software updates, appointment scheduling, and acting as a dental receptionist when needed Skills Proficiency in dental assisting techniques with knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and dental equipment operation Experience with EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix for efficient medical documentation and record keeping Strong understanding of infection control standards including sterilization procedures, healthcare infection prevention, and aseptic techniques Ability to operate dental X-ray machines safely and accurately while adhering to radiation safety guidelines Knowledge of pediatric dentistry practices and oral surgery procedures to support diverse patient needs Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dentistry and general healthcare settings Excellent communication skills for effective patient management, team collaboration, and documentation accuracy Join us in creating healthier smiles!
