Auburn Periodontics and Implantology Registered Dental Assistant — Full Scope Auburn, WA | 0.7-1.0 FTE (Hours vary with clinic need and range from 28-40 hours/week) | In-Office | Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday with Mondays as needed. About the Practice Auburn Periodontics and Implantology is a specialty periodontal practice dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care in a supportive, professional environment. Our team is small, collaborative, and genuinely invested in doing right by every patient who walks through our door. We're growing, and we're looking for an RDA who's ready to grow with us. The Role This is a full-scope dental assisting position — not a narrowly defined one. You'll be relied on across the clinical day, from prepping and turning over operatories to assisting with surgical procedures to keeping things running smoothly when the unexpected happens. If you thrive in a specialty environment and take pride in clinical precision, this is the job for you. What You'll Do Provide chairside assistance during periodontal and implant procedures, including soft tissue surgery, bone grafting, implant placement, and scaling/root planing Prepare and break down operatories; maintain strict infection control and sterilization protocols Take radiographs (digital), CBCT scans, impressions (both digital and analog), and intraoral photos Assist with conscious sedation administration, including N2O and Versed, and occasional IV sedation support Perform lab duties including fabrication of surgical stents Conduct quality and safety testing per protocol — including spore testing, water testing, and sanitization of the water distiller Document clinical notes and treatment records accurately in practice management software Communicate clearly with patients before, during, and after procedures — helping them feel informed and at ease Support front desk and administrative flow as needed — we're a team and everyone pitches in Manage supply inventory, instrument maintenance, and equipment upkeep Ensure compliance with OSHA, WSHA, and WAC regulations What We're Looking For Active Washington State Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) license — required Current CPR/BLS certification Experience in a dental specialty setting is a strong plus; perio experience is a genuine advantage Comfortable with digital radiography, CBCT imaging, and practice management software Surgical assisting experience welcomed — implants, grafts, extractions Sedation assisting experience (N2O, Versed, or IV) is a significant plus Detail-oriented and organized; able to anticipate needs without being asked Calm under pressure and professional in all patient interactions Team player who doesn't need hand-holding but isn't afraid to ask questions What We Offer We take care of our people.
