Job Description

Job Overview Must have at least 3 years as a dental assistant! Join our vibrant private dental practice as a Dental Assistant, where your enthusiasm and expertise will help create a welcoming environment for patients and support our team in delivering exceptional dental care. In this role, you will assist the dentist during procedures, manage patient comfort, and ensure smooth clinic operations. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will contribute to a positive patient experience while maintaining the highest standards of infection control and clinical excellence. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in a dynamic, patient-focused setting. Duties Prepare treatment rooms with necessary instruments, materials, and sterilized equipment, adhering to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols. Assist the dentist during various procedures including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, ensuring patient comfort and safety. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-ray), operate digital imaging systems such as 3D scanners, and manage medical imaging records accurately. Manage patient intake by updating medical history, vital signs, and medical documentation while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations for confidentiality. Support front desk operations by acting as a dental receptionist—scheduling appointments, verifying insurance information, and maintaining accurate medical records using EMR systems like Dentrix or Eaglesoft. Perform chairside assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques to maximize efficiency during procedures. Educate patients on dental terminology, post-treatment care, and preventive practices to promote oral health awareness. Must know how to do scanning for crowns and nightguards-Minimum proficiency Requirements Proven experience working in a dental clinic environment with knowledge of general dentistry procedures. Proficiency in dental assisting techniques including chairside assisting, infection control, and aseptic technique. Familiarity with EMR systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft; experience with Epic or similar medical documentation platforms is a plus. Knowledge of anatomy relevant to dentistry along with dental terminology used in clinical settings. Ability to operate X-ray machines safely and accurately; certification in radiography preferred. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations regarding medical records and patient confidentiality. Excellent communication skills as a dental receptionist; ability to coordinate between patients, staff, and providers effectively. Additional skills in pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, or pediatrics are highly desirable for supporting diverse patient needs.
