This vital role combines front desk responsibilities with clinical assisting duties, ensuring exceptional patient care from the moment they walk through our doors. You will be an integral part of delivering high-quality general dentistry services, utilizing your knowledge of dental procedures, equipment, and patient management systems to enhance every patient experience. Duties Greet patients warmly, verify appointments, and manage patient check-in and check-out processes using Open Dental, advanced patient management software. Schedule appointments efficiently, confirm patient details, and handle rescheduling to optimize daily operations. Insurance verification, benefits, send claims and preauthorization, follow up claims. Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing dental instruments, processing dental equipment, and ensuring infection prevention protocols are strictly followed in accordance with clinical confidentiality policies. Assist dentists during procedures such as oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and pediatric dentistry with chairside assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry. Take x-rays using digital imaging system while maintaining proper aseptic techniques and infection control standards. Manage medical records and documentation accurately within EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems while ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Educate patients on oral health care practices, dental terminology, and post-treatment instructions to promote ongoing patient care and satisfaction. Requirements Proven experience in a dental clinic setting with knowledge of dental assisting, front desk reception duties, and familiarity with dental equipment. Proficiency in Open Dental software, experience with dental coding and documentation is a plus. Strong understanding of dental terminology, medical terminology, and clinical procedures including X-ray techniques and infection control practices. Ability to perform vital signs measurement and assist with dental procedure. Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
