Responsibilities Provide outstanding customer service and an excellent chairside experience for every patient. Assist the dentist with all dental procedures. Take and process dental radiographs using standard dental radiographic equipment. Maintain efficient patient flow and help keep the doctor's schedule on track. Be present, engaged, and ready to work at all assigned shift times. Prepare treatment rooms and assist with maintaining a clean, organized office. Review patient charts prior to the doctor's arrival and document appropriate patient information during exams and treatment. Accurately transcribe doctor notes into the patient chart. Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with all HIPAA regulations. Follow the organization's safety policies and procedures. Demonstrate knowledge of dental terminology and apply it appropriately in daily duties. Review and verify patient health history, including medications and relevant medical conditions that may impact dental treatment, and document appropriately in the patient chart. Assist with other clinical and office duties as needed. Qualifications Previous general dentistry RDA experience is required. Experience with Dentrix Ascend is highly preferred. Current Dental Assistant/RDA license or certification as required by the State of Washington. Excellent chairside manner and outstanding customer service skills. Positive, professional, and team-oriented attitude. Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced dental environment. Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team. Dependable, punctual, and professional. Schedule Monday-Thursday, with some Fridays as needed.
