The Orthodontic Assistant's primary focus is to perform different orthodontic procedures with the doctor which includes prepping the patients, assisting the Orthodontist, and closing all chairside procedures, all while creating a comfortable environment for the patient. The Orthodontic Assistant will be responsible for knowing our policies and procedures to provide patients and families with orthodontic care instructions and dental health education. Prepare patients for procedures, assist Orthodontist during procedures and finish patient's appointment. Be prepared for each procedure by reviewing patient notes to know what procedures will be done and what instruments will be needed. Provide patient and families with proper orthodontic care instructions, dental health education and diet recommendations. Help patient and parent feel comfortable at each visit. Communicate patient's treatment needs to appropriate clinic staff.
