This modern, detail-oriented practice is looking for more than someone who simply performs cleanings. The ideal candidate is passionate about identifying and controlling periodontal disease, educating patients, and improving oral and whole-body health. The practice is prepared to invest significantly in the right hygienist through advanced continuing education, including potential training at the Kois Center in Seattle. This individual will have the opportunity to help strengthen the periodontal program, mentor other hygienists, and eventually transition into a production-based leadership role. 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m., once per month Team members arrive approximately 10 minutes before the first patient Full-time schedule will be discussed during the interview Practice Environment Established for approximately 12 years Innovative and detail-oriented culture Multi-provider practice Four-hygienist clinical team Nine operatories Collaborative team of approximately 18 staff members PPO and fee-for-service patient base Periodontal Program Comprehensive periodontal charting Scaling and root planing Laser-assisted periodontal therapy Irrigation with periodontal treatment Arestin placement Adult fluoride treatment Customized three-, four-, and six-month recall intervals Conservative and aggressive periodontal referral protocols Emphasis on early detection and periodontal disease management Responsibilities Perform adult and pediatric prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, and scaling and root planing Complete accurate periodontal charting and clinical documentation Identify periodontal disease during its earliest stages Educate patients about the oral-systemic connection Develop individualized periodontal treatment and maintenance recommendations Use evidence-based periodontal protocols to improve patient outcomes Administer local anesthesia within the hygienist's licensed scope Perform laser-assisted periodontal therapy when appropriately certified Place Arestin and provide fluoride treatment Take diagnostic-quality digital radiographs Collaborate with dentists and specialists to manage periodontal conditions Present periodontal treatment recommendations clearly and confidently Monitor patient progress and adjust maintenance intervals when necessary Build trust through exceptional communication and chairside care Support case acceptance and long-term patient retention Help establish consistent hygiene protocols Eventually mentor and train other members of the hygiene team Qualified Registered Dental Hygienists who are looking for professional growth, advanced education, leadership opportunities, and significant earning potential are encouraged to apply confidentially with an updated résumé.
