Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated, reliable, and energetic Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team on Mondays and Wednesdays ! In this vital role, you will provide top-quality preventive dental care, patient education, and support to ensure optimal oral health for our diverse patient community. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, medical history review, and oral health evaluations. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment while ensuring radiation safety protocols are followed. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong dental health. Maintain accurate and detailed electronic health records (EHR) using systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality. Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and infection control measures, to maintain a safe clinical environment. Skills Proficiency with Dentrix for scheduling, documentation review, and medical records management. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and general dentistry procedures. Experience with pediatric dentistry practices and providing care for pediatric patients is highly desirable. Ability to perform dental x-ray procedures accurately while adhering to safety standards. Excellent communication skills for client education, team collaboration, and patient care discussions. Healthcare infection prevention expertise, including sterilization techniques and infection control standards aligned with HIPAA regulations.
