Mondays:

8 am- 5 pm

Fridays:

8 am - 1 pm Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment, ensuring accuracy and patient safety Assess patient vital signs and medical history to identify any health concerns or contraindications for treatment Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote long-term oral health Assist with chairside procedures, including four-handed dentistry techniques that enhance efficiency and patient comfort Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) using Open Dental ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations Adhere to infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and infection control standards, to ensure a safe environment for all patients Requirements Valid Dental Hygienist license in the state of California with current certification Proven experience in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry settings preferred Proficiency with dental software such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix for documentation review and medical records management Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental care Ability to perform dental x-rays accurately while maintaining patient comfort and safety standards Excellent client communication skills with a focus on patient care and education Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control practices, including HIPAA compliance management Familiarity with medical coding, EMR/EHR systems, and documentation procedures for accurate recordkeeping Embark on a fulfilling career where your skills directly impact patients' health!
