Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will provide exceptional patient care by performing thorough dental cleanings, assessments, and education. Your expertise will help promote optimal oral health while ensuring a comfortable and positive experience for every patient. Duties Perform appropriate comprehensive dental care including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth to prevent decay and gum disease. Conduct thorough patient assessments by evaluating vital signs, medical history, and oral health status. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment while maintaining strict infection prevention protocols. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to foster lifelong healthy habits. Maintain infection control standards by adhering to HIPAA regulations, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures for dental equipment. Review dental records and documentation for accuracy Ensure all patient information is kept confidential in accordance with HIPAA guidelines while providing excellent patient care. Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current certification to practice. Proven experience in general dentistry preferred Proficiency in dental software such as Open Dental, managing electronic health records (EHR). Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to oral health care. Experience with dental x-ray procedures and the operation of dental imaging equipment. Excellent communication skills for client education and team collaboration; ability to explain procedures clearly to patients of all ages. Knowledge of infection prevention management, aseptic techniques, and healthcare infection control standards.
