Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dental team in Foresthill. In this role, you will provide quality preventive dental care, periodontal treatment, and patient education to ensure optimal oral health for our diverse patient community. Your clinical care will help foster a welcoming environment where patients feel comfortable in their dental experience. This position offers an opportunity to utilize your clinical skills while making a positive impact on our community. Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and root planing, to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct initial patient assessments, including vital signs measurement and medical history review, ensuring comprehensive patient care. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment while adhering to safety protocols. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong oral health habits. Maintain accurate and detailed electronic health records (EHR) using Dentrix, while ensuring HIPAA compliance and confidentiality. Follow infection prevention protocols through aseptic techniques and infection control measures to safeguard patient and staff health. Skills Proficiency with dental software systems such as Dentrix for documentation and scheduling management. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding standards. Ability to assess patient needs effectively through patient care and assessment skills while maintaining excellent client communication. Expertise in healthcare infection prevention and control practices aligned with HIPAA regulations to ensure a safe clinical environment.
Pay:
From $60.00 per hour Expected hours: 16.0 - 24.0 per week
