Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment while ensuring safety protocols are followed. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to enhance their understanding of dental health Maintain accurate electronic health records (Dentrix), documenting patient care details meticulously. Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and infection control measures, to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining patient confidentiality and handling medical records securely. Support the use of dental equipment and technology, including dental x-ray machines and other diagnostic tools. Skills Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) management systems such as Dentrix. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Excellent client communication skills to educate patients effectively about their oral health needs. Healthcare infection prevention expertise with a focus on aseptic technique and infection control standards. Ability to interpret dental x-rays accurately and utilize dental equipment safely. Familiarity with HIPAA compliance management and maintaining patient confidentiality at all times. Knowledge of medical coding related to dental procedures for accurate documentation review. Strong organizational skills for managing medical records, medical records review, and documentation accuracy.
