Responsibilities:

Provide preventive dental hygiene care to patients in skilled nursing and other care settings. Focus on prevention and early intervention to help reduce oral disease. Meeting patients where they are and adapting care to their individual medical, physical, and emotional needs. Provide compassionate care to medically compromised elderly, disabled, and special needs patients. Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow infection-control, privacy, and safety protocols. Educate patients, caregivers, nursing staff, and facility staff on oral hygiene, denture care and prevention. Skills In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations in this profession (e.g, HIPAA) Outstanding communication skills A patient and friendly personality Attention to detail California RDH License Valid driver's license Someone who can work independently and likes to drive This is more than a traditional dental hygiene role.
