Registered Dental Hygienist (part time) Sycamore Dentistry Simi Valley, CA Job Details Part-time $50 - $60 an hour 1 day ago Benefits Paid time off Qualifications Customer communication Computer literacy Registered Dental Hygienist Full Job Description We're a privately owned, single-doctor dental practice located in the Wood Ranch community of Simi Valley. We are looking for a part time Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team on Fridays and one additional day. If you like working in a patient-focused office (no corporate quotas or high-volume pressure), we'd love to hear from you. You'll see a mix of patients in a clean, modern setting with an established doctor and staff. We value positive energy employees who are professional and dedicated to providing outstanding patient experiences in a supportive environment. What we're looking for: Current California RDH license Friendly, reliable, and good with patients Comfortable working independently in a small office Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions. Take X-rays using digital software and equipment. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, including brushing, flossing, and dietary advice tailored to pediatric dentistry when applicable. Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Maintain accurate electronic health records including dental charting and notes Follow infection prevention management protocols, ensuring all dental equipment is sterilized and the clinic maintains HIPAA compliance to protect patient confidentiality. Maintain a clean operatory on a daily basis Skills Proficient computer skills Strong knowledge of dental terminology Expertise in infection control practices and managing dental equipment. Excellent communication skills for patient education and interaction, and team collaboration within a busy dental office environment. Ability to perform X-ray procedures accurately while adhering to safety standards for radiation exposure.
