Seeking a skilled professional to provide preventative dental care and assist in treatment planning. Located in New Haven, CT, this full-time position requires on-site work and encompasses various duties related to dental hygiene, patient education, and operational tasks.
Requirements:
Graduate of an accredited Dental Hygiene program Current Connecticut registered dental hygiene license Dental hygiene local anesthesia certificate preferred Current CPR certification One year experience as a dental hygienist preferred Familiarity with dental billing and coding procedures Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
Key Responsibilities:
Educate patients and families on proper oral hygiene Provide preventative dental care to children and adults Apply fluorides and cavity-preventing agents with dentist oversight Maintain and sterilize dental instruments Adhere to OHSA and HIPAA compliance policies Collaborate on operational tasks and quality improvement initiatives Complete required trainings and other tasks as assigned
