•45 per hour, based on experience SMI Dental is looking for a reliable, compassionate, and experienced Dental Hygienist to join our team in St. Petersburg, FL. This is a great opportunity for a hygienist looking for a consistent 3-day-per-week schedule in a patient-focused dental practice. We are looking for someone who takes pride in providing thorough clinical care, educating patients, and building lasting relationships with the people they serve. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive preventive dental hygiene care Perform routine dental cleanings and periodontal therapy as appropriate Perform periodontal charting and assessments Take dental radiographs as directed Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and periodontal health Review oral health findings with patients and reinforce recommended care Maintain accurate and thorough clinical documentation Communicate effectively with the dentist and clinical team Build positive, long-term relationships with patients Follow all OSHA, HIPAA, and infection-control standards Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming treatment environment Qualifications Current Florida Dental Hygienist license Graduate of an accredited dental hygiene program Current CPR/BLS certification Previous dental hygiene experience preferred Strong clinical and communication skills Professional, dependable, and patient-focused Excellent attention to detail Ability to work independently while being a strong member of the dental team Compensation & Benefits $40
