Main Family Dental Care is looking for a Dental Hygienist who will make a visit to our office the most pleasant experience possible for patients, while also helping the office run efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a calm, reassuring and friendly demeanor as well as the ability to multitask in a fast-paced atmosphere. Excellent customer service and fluency in current dental hygiene techniques are required. The dental hygienist should be well-organized with great attention to detail. Responsibilities Make patients feel welcome at Main Family Dental Care Prepare patients for treatments or checkups, ensuring their comfort Select and set up instruments, equipment and materials needed Capturing digital x-rays Sterilizing instruments according to regulations Undertake lab tasks as instructed Provide oral hygiene care instructions Keep the dental room clean and well-stocked Schedule appointments Maintain accurate patient records and assist with payment procedures Skills Proven experience as a dental hygienist Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods Understanding of health & safety regulations required by OSHA Good computer skills Excellent communication and people skills Attention to detail Well-organized and reliable High school diploma; licensed as a dental hygienist in the state of Iowa Additional certification or training is an asset
