We are looking for a full-time Dental Hygienist to join our private practice. This role is for someone who provides thorough clinical care, educates patients clearly, and is comfortable discussing treatment needs with both patients and the dentist. You will treat patients of all ages, deliver preventive and periodontal therapy, and help patients leave with a clear plan for their oral health. Expectations Complete initial screenings, review medical/dental history, and assess oral health Perform prophylaxis, periodontal maintenance, and scaling and root planing Identify and document conditions such as gingivitis, periodontitis, caries, and other oral anomalies Administer local anesthesia as needed Take radiographs and dental impressions as prescribed Apply preventive agents such as fluoride Educate patients on home care, brushing and flossing technique, and recommended treatment Provide post-operative and post-procedure instructions Collaborate with the dentist on treatment needs, including periodontal and oral-disease findings Help manage dental emergencies within the hygiene scope of practice Keep accurate charts and clinical notes Follow infection-control, sterilization, and HIPAA standards Help monitor hygiene supplies and keep the operatory prepared Requirements Valid state license to practice dental hygiene At least 1 year of experience preferred; strong new graduates will be considered Confident, professional communication with patients of all ages Ability to explain oral health findings and treatment recommendations clearly Reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working as part of a small team Working knowledge of infection control, HIPAA, and office safety protocols Steady clinical technique and a calm bedside manner
