Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Conduct dental hygiene assessments and develop treatment plans for patients
- Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing of teeth
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and provide personalized oral care instructions
- Perform dental charting and maintain accurate patient records
- Assist the dentist during procedures as necessary
Skills:
- Proficiency in using dental practice management software (Dentrix)
- Knowledge of medical coding and billing procedures
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems (Dentrix)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients and dental team members
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
