Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality dental care and ensuring patient comfort. As a Dental Hygienist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of clinical tasks to support the dentist and enhance the overall patient experience in our dental clinic.

•This position is currently only for FRIDAYS-- Our office hours in the Summer/Spring are 7am-12pm & in the Fall/Winter 7am-3pm

•Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including reviewing medical history and current health status. Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing procedures using appropriate techniques. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and the importance of preventive care. Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques. Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments and progress in accordance with HIPAA regulations. Review and update medical terminology and documentation systems to ensure compliance with best practices. Ensure all instruments and equipment are sterilized and prepared for use in accordance with safety protocols. Requirements Valid dental hygiene license in the state of practice. Proficiency in assisting with various dental procedures and familiarity with four-handed dentistry. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and medical terminology. Experience with documentation review processes within a dental clinic setting. Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients about oral health. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment while maintaining a focus on patient care.
