Evansville Family Dentistry seeks a compassionate Dental Hygienist to provide gentle, high-quality preventive care for patients of all ages. In this family-focused practice, you'll perform cleanings, periodontal maintenance, radiographs, and patient assessments while educating patients on oral health and home care. Responsibilities Perform routine cleanings, periodontal maintenance, and non-surgical periodontal therapy Take and interpret digital radiographs following safety protocols Conduct comprehensive periodontal charting and oral health assessments Update medical histories and document findings in dental software Educate patients on oral hygiene, preventive care, and treatment recommendations Apply sealants, fluoride, and other preventive treatments as directed Maintain strict infection control and sterilization procedures Collaborate closely with dentists and team members to coordinate patient care Contribute to a calm, friendly, and reassuring patient experience Support scheduling efficiency and assist with patient flow as needed Required Skills Dental prophylaxis and cleanings Scaling and root planing Periodontal charting and assessment Digital dental radiography Infection control and sterilization Administration of local anesthesia (where permitted) Dental software and charting (e.g., Dentrix/Eaglesoft) Oral health education and counseling Fluoride and sealant application Medical history review and documentation
