We are a growing pediatric dental office dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care to children and their families. Position Overview The Pediatric Dental Hygienist plays a critical role in promoting oral health and delivering preventive dental care to children. This role focuses on patient education, clinical excellence, and creating a comfortable and engaging experience for pediatric patients. Key Responsibilities Perform dental cleanings (prophylaxis) and preventive treatments for pediatric patients Conduct oral health assessments and chart conditions for the doctor's review Apply fluoride treatments and dental sealants Take and review dental radiographs (X-rays) in accordance with state regulations Educate patients and parents on proper oral hygiene and preventive care Help create a positive, calm, and engaging experience for children Identify potential oral health concerns and communicate findings to the dentist Maintain accurate and thorough patient records Support office flow and collaborate with the clinical team Qualifications Active Dental Hygienist license in the state of practice CPR/BLS certification required Experience working with pediatric patients preferred Strong knowledge of preventive dental care and patient education Familiarity with dental software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, etc.) preferred Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment What We're Looking For Passion for working with children Friendly, patient, and upbeat demeanor Strong attention to detail and clinical excellence Ability to educate and engage both children and parents Team-oriented with a positive attitude We may use artificial intelligence (AI) tools to support parts of the hiring process, such as reviewing applications, analyzing resumes, or assessing responses and identifying potential inconsistencies or verification signals in application materials based on available information.
