Responsibilities Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) ensuring proper technique and patient safety Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history, vital signs, and current oral health status Educate patients on proper dental care practices, including oral hygiene techniques and preventive measures Maintain accurate and detailed dental records Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and infection control measures, to ensure patient safety and compliance with HIPAA regulations Requirements Valid Dental Hygienist license in accordance with state licensing boards Experience in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry setting Proficiency with dental software for documentation review and EHR management Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy relevant to dental care Experience with dental x-ray procedures and vital signs measurement Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients about dental care and foster positive relationships Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control standards, including HIPAA compliance and maintaining patient confidentiality Embark on a rewarding career where your skills directly improve patient well-being! Pay:
$35.00 - $45.00 per hour Expected hours: 25.0 - 30.0 per week
