Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in maintaining oral health and ensuring a positive patient experience through compassionate communication and clinical expertise. Your proficiency in dental software systems and infection control protocols will support the seamless operation of our practice. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing, to remove plaque, tartar, and stains. Conduct initial patient assessments by reviewing medical history and recording vital signs such as blood pressure and pulse. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to promote lifelong oral health. Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) using systems such as Softdent documenting treatment details thoroughly. Follow infection prevention management protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization of dental instruments and equipment. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining patient confidentiality and secure handling of medical records. Monitor patient comfort throughout procedures, providing excellent patient care and addressing any concerns promptly. Experience Proficiency in using dental software systems such as Softdent scheduling, documentation, and electronic health record management. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and infection control standards. Familiarity with dental x-ray procedures, medical imaging techniques, and maintaining strict infection prevention protocols. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations while providing comprehensive education on oral health practices. Certification in radiography or dental hygiene licensure as required by regional regulatory bodies is essential.
