Job Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Hygienist, where your expertise will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and promoting optimal oral health. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will provide comprehensive dental hygiene services, educate patients on oral health practices, and support the overall efficiency of our dental practice. Your passion for patient well-being and attention to detail will help create a positive, comfortable environment for all visitors. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care strategies to maintain healthy smiles. Assist the dentist during procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to ensure smooth workflow. Take and develop medical imaging such as X-rays, ensuring proper positioning and safety protocols. Review and update medical records accurately within Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Monitor infection control practices by adhering to aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff. Requirements Valid Dental Hygiene license with current certification in your state or region. Proven experience with dental office management software such as Eaglesoft. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dentistry. Experience in pediatric dentistry or working with children is highly desirable. Ability to perform chairside assisting efficiently while maintaining excellent patient care standards. Familiarity with infection control protocols, HIPAA regulations, and medical coding practices. Excellent communication skills with the ability to educate patients effectively and review documentation thoroughly.
