Job Overview Scarborough Family Dentistry and Dr. Kristian Richardson are seeking a dedicated and skilled Part Time (2-3 days/week) Dental Hygienist to join our team! The ideal candidate is one who has strong communication skills, is hard working and enjoys caring for patients of all ages. Hygienist would be responsible for routine prophylaxis, periodontal therapy with local anesthesia, placing sealants, taking digital xrays, etc. We are a team who are dedicated to providing the highest quality care in a friendly and professional environment. Part time hours are offered (2-3 days/week), potential for full time hours in the future. Duties Conduct thorough patient assessments, including medical history and oral health evaluations. Obtaining digital x-rays, panoramic x-rays Perform dental cleanings, scaling, and root planing procedures using local anesthetic. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and the importance of regular dental visits. Assist in the development of individualized treatment plans based on patient needs. Maintain aseptic technique and adhere to infection control protocols in the dental office. Collaborate with dentists and other staff members Document patient records accurately for efficient management of patient information. Provide care for pediatric patients with a focus on creating a comfortable environment for children. Qualifications Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist. Proficient in medical coding and documentation practices related to dental procedures. Strong understanding of aseptic techniques and infection control measures within a dental office setting. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively educate patients about their oral health. Pay:
$48.00 - $52.00 per hour
