Job Description

Make a meaningful difference—every day. Strong Area Health Center (part of HealthReach Community Health Centers, a multi-site community health center in Central and Western Maine) is seeking a mission-driven Dental Hygienist to join our dedicated rural health and dental care team. This is an opportunity to help address oral health disparities in a rural population—providing high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals and families who rely on us as their dental home. You'll be joining a strong, established care team, including an experienced dental hygienist with 17 years of expertise and a supportive, skilled clinical and administrative team committed to patient care and teamwork. If you enjoy the outdoors, Strong and surrounding areas are the place for you. Situated only 15 minutes from Farmington, Strong benefits from the nearby University of Maine and downtown charm that the town has to offer, including shopping, a movie theater, and restaurants. Choose between skiing opportunities at Sugarloaf Ski Resort or Saddleback Mountain, both within 45 minutes driving distance of Strong. If you have educational loans, we can help through our internal loan repayment program. In addition, Strong has a high-need dental HPSA designation (score of 22) supporting strong eligibility for federal scholar and loan repayment programs. We offer competitive compensation. You will be able to design a benefit program that fits your needs from choices including health, dental, and vision insurances as well as short- and long-term disability coverage. The selected candidate will receive a continuing annual education allowance of $1750, 36 hours of self-directed paid CE time, malpractice coverage, paid time off of 245 hours (6.8 weeks) annually, pension plan with employer match, and relocation expense reimbursement as well as a new hire sign-on bonus. The salary range for this role is $67,500-$88,600 with the potential for a bonus based on quality incentives and potential bonuses for visit volume and team quality outcomes. This range reflects the full scope of the position across multiple experience levels and pay is based on experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
