Registered Dental Hygienist Full Job Description Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our growing practice. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing excellent patient care, promoting oral health, and maintaining high standards of professionalism. As a key member of our dental team, you will play a vital role in delivering quality care to our patients through oral hygiene treatments, education, and preventative services.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments. Conduct patient assessments, including reviewing dental histories, taking x-rays, and examining teeth and gums for signs of disease. Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, nutrition, and overall dental health. Assist the dentist in diagnosing and treating dental issues by identifying potential problems during cleanings. Apply sealants, desensitizing agents, and other treatments as needed. Maintain accurate patient records, documenting treatments and recommendations. Sterilize and prepare instruments and treatment rooms in accordance with infection control protocols. Collaborate with the dental team to provide a positive patient experience and improve treatment outcomes. Stay updated on current dental hygiene practices and participate in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications:

Required:

Active Dental Hygienist license in Michigan.

Preferred:

2 years of experience in a dental office setting. Knowledge of dental software (EagleSoft). Proficient in taking x-rays and using dental hygiene tools. Strong communication and patient care skills. Ability to educate patients in a clear, compassionate manner.
