Duties Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs and medical history reviews, to ensure safe treatment planning Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper technique and patient comfort Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort Maintain accurate and detailed medical records and documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and infection control measures aligned with healthcare standards and HIPAA compliance Collaborate with dentists and other team members to coordinate patient care and ensure seamless service delivery Skills Proficiency in dental software systems such as Eaglesoft and Dentrix for scheduling, documentation review, and record management Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medical coding practices Experience with pediatric dentistry, including providing care tailored to children's needs in a pediatric dentistry setting Expertise in dental equipment operation, dental x-ray procedures, and X-ray safety protocols Skilled in patient communication, client education on dental care, and maintaining patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations Ability to perform patient care tasks such as vital signs measurement, medical imaging, and medical records management accurately Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control practices including aseptic technique and infection management protocols Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for electronic health records management and documentation review Join us in making a difference by promoting healthy smiles!
