Responsibilities Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical history, vital signs, and current oral health status Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) ensuring high-quality imaging for accurate diagnosis Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, preventive care, and treatment options Assist the dentist during procedures with chairside support, including handling dental equipment and materials Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using electronic health records (EHR) system -OpenDental and iTero Follow infection prevention protocols, including aseptic techniques and sterilization of dental instruments Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining patient confidentiality at all times Monitor and manage dental equipment to ensure optimal functionality and safety standards Qualifications Valid state licensure as a Registered Dental Hygienist with current credentials Proven experience in general dentistry or pediatric dentistry environments Proficiency with dental software system OpenDental Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to dental care Skilled in chairside assisting, including handling dental instruments and materials efficiently Familiarity with dental x-ray procedures, medical imaging techniques, and radiation safety protocols Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention and control standards, including HIPAA compliance Excellent communication skills for client education and team collaboration Ability to perform patient assessments accurately while demonstrating empathy and professionalism Experience working with electronic health records (EHR) systems and managing medical records effectively Join us in making a difference by providing top-tier dental care that transforms smiles!
