Lane & Associates Family Dentistry is currently looking for a Dental Hygienist to join our top-notch, fun-loving team at the Cary Tryon office!

Overall Responsibility Responsible for the patient preventive maintenance care program, treatment procedures, clerical duties, charting maintenance duties, and recall system. Key Tasks and Responsibilities Ensure treatment room is stocked, sterilized and setup for each appointment Greets each patient Updates health history and information upon each visit Educates patients in regards to their oral health needs, options, and consequences with/without treatment Provides Soft Tissue Management (STM) and develop personalized home care program for periodontal patients Charts and documents all procedures performed and indicate next treatment to be performed Works in unity with other clinical staff to ensure proper appearance of lab and treatment rooms Charts procedures to include patient conditions, medical and dental histories, treatment procedures and patient comments Performs treatment procedures to include prophylaxes, scaling, application of pit and fissure sealants, polishing restorations and fluoride applications Oversees non-surgical periodontal programs Exposes and develops radiographs Manages the preventive maintenance program Reinforces recommendations for treatment Coordinates the office recall system with hygiene assistant Maintains inventory control in the hygiene rooms Shares maintenance duties as required Sharpens periodontal instruments Sterilizes interments Performs recurring and routine work independently Performing treatment procedures as dictated by the appointment schedule
