Job Description
Seeking highly motivated, passionate, friendly dental Hygienist, to join our team at Oceanside Family Dental. We are looking for a Hygienist who values high level patient care. We are wanting to add that special employee that will enhance our fun, professional and positive team. Our applicants must possess the ability to assess, perform and use great communication skills to reinforce treatment. New Graduates Welcome, must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and use of dental terminology, instruments, and follow our practice protocols. We are looking for a proactive enthusiastic employee to become a part of our "dental family". Ideal candidate must be able to: Assess and evaluate patient through exam, patient records, and medical history to assist in diagnosis of dental hygiene problems, disease, and efficacy of administered treatment plans. Educate patients of all ages as to the best oral hygiene techniques for maintain optimal dental health Record treatment and make complete notes in patient chart Take radiographs and intraoral photographs Perform dental hygiene services and procedures, including prophylaxis, periodontal probing, scaling, oral cancer screenings, root planning and application of fluoride and sealants Sterilization and care of instruments Able to work in a fast-paced environment Must be able to work both independently and cooperatively in team setting, displaying exceptional skill in time management in order to set and maintain own, and subordinate procedure and task schedules. Always maintain the highest level of confidentiality to HIPPA standards. Prior knowledge of Dexis and Open Dental (preferred, but not required) and/or able to quickly and accurately learn new industry specific software, including CT scanning, intraoral cameras, iTero scanning, and DIAGNOdent Certified in anesthesia (preferred)
