Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong passion for patient care and oral health education, with comprehensive knowledge of dental procedures, infection control, and patient assessment. As a Dental Hygienist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality preventive dental services, supporting general dentistry practices, and ensuring a positive patient experience through compassionate care and professional expertise. Responsibilities Perform dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing to remove plaque and tartar buildup. Conduct thorough patient assessments by evaluating oral health status and recording medical histories. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) while ensuring proper technique and patient safety. Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and treatment options to promote optimal dental health. Assist with chairside procedures, including preparing instruments and materials for various dental treatments. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in Dentrix. Follow infection prevention protocols by adhering to aseptic techniques and sterilization procedures to ensure patient safety. Monitor vital signs and assess medical conditions that may impact dental treatment or require referral to healthcare providers. Collaborate with dentists and other team members to deliver comprehensive patient care in a fast-paced clinical environment. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations by maintaining patient confidentiality at all times. Skills Proficiency in dental software systems , such as Dentrix, for documentation and scheduling management. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, equipment, and procedures used in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry. Experience with pediatric dentistry techniques tailored for young patients' comfort and safety. Skilled in chairside assisting, including handling dental instruments, materials, and medical imaging devices. Familiarity with medical coding, documentation review, and electronic health records (EHR) management. Expertise in infection control practices, aseptic technique, and healthcare infection prevention standards. Ability to communicate effectively with patients of all ages while providing clear instructions on dental care patient education. Knowledge of anatomy relevant to oral health assessments and medical terminology related to dentistry. Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a team environment while managing multiple responsibilities seamlessly. Pay:
$45.00 - $55.00 per hour Expected hours: 9.0 - 20.0 per week
