Job Summary We seek qualified and caring full-time or part-time Registered Dental Hygienists to join our team! As an RDH, you will provide the highest standard dental care that makes our clients feel like family. Responsibilities Prepare treatment rooms for patients by adhering to prescribed procedures and protocols Welcome patients into the treatment area and make them feel comfortable Discuss the dental care plan with patients and answer any questions they have Accurately verify and document medical and oral health histories Take x-rays Perform preliminary exams Evaluate patients for signs of gum disease and infection Complete dental prophylaxis by cleaning deposits and stains from teeth and beneath gums Apply fluoride treatments and sealants Teach good oral hygiene techniques Schedule an appointment for the next dental hygiene visit Document dental hygiene services by charting in patient records Maintain patient confidence and protect operations by keeping information confidential Maintain sterilization by sharpening, sterilizing, and selecting instruments Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations Protect patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols Maintain dental supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies Adhere to all health and safety regulations and office policies Qualifications Valid NYS Dental Hygienist licensure Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and all dentistry safety guidelines Excellent communication and patient care
