Great Expression Dental Center- NY is seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist to deliver high-quality, patient-centered preventative and periodontal care. In this role, you will perform dental prophylaxis, scaling and root planing, periodontal charting, oral cancer screenings, radiographs, and sealant/fluoride applications using modern technology and evidence-based protocols. You'll educate patients on oral hygiene and treatment plans, collaborate closely with dentists and clinical teams, and maintain accurate, compliant records. Responsibilities Provide prophylaxis, scaling, root planing, and periodontal maintenance Perform periodontal charting, oral cancer screenings, and radiographs Apply sealants and fluoride per dentist orders and clinical protocols Educate patients on oral hygiene, disease prevention, and treatment plans Review medical histories and assess oral health risk factors Maintain accurate clinical notes and documentation in practice systems Ensure infection control and sterilization in accordance with OSHA guidelines Collaborate with dentists and clinical team to coordinate patient care Support patient scheduling, flow, and a positive chairside experience Participate in continuing education and quality improvement initiatives Required Skills Dental prophylaxis and periodontal therapy Periodontal charting and assessment Dental radiography and image evaluation Infection control and sterilization protocols Electronic dental records/documentation Local anesthesia administration (where permitted) Patient education and treatment counseling Oral cancer screening techniques Digital imaging and intraoral cameras Use of ultrasonic and hand instrumentation
