Header Overview Join our dynamic dental team as a Registered Dental Hygienist. We need a serious professional ready to work. There us flexibility with the days. Monday through Thursday are available. We would like to start with Monday and Thursday. Duties Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to promote oral health. Conduct patient assessments by taking vital signs, medical histories, and reviewing medical records to ensure safe and effective treatment planning. Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays), ensuring proper technique and adherence to safety protocols. Educate patients on proper dental care practices, emphasizing preventive measures and oral hygiene techniques tailored to pediatric dentistry when applicable. Assist with chairside procedures using four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency and patient comfort. Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) using systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards. Support infection prevention management by following aseptic techniques, sterilization procedures, and infection control protocols aligned with healthcare standards. Collaborate with the dental team to ensure smooth clinic operations, including documentation review, medical coding, and equipment maintenance. Communicate effectively with patients of all ages, including pediatrics, providing clear instructions and addressing concerns professionally. Experience Proven experience as a Dental Hygienist in a general or pediatric dentistry setting is preferred. Familiarity with EHR/EHR systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of dental terminology, medical terminology, and anatomy related to oral health. Hands-on experience with dental equipment operation, X-ray machines, and medical imaging techniques. Demonstrated ability to perform dental assisting tasks such as chairside assisting while maintaining high standards of infection control. Excellent client communication skills with a focus on patient education and building trustful relationships. Knowledge of healthcare infection prevention practices and HIPAA compliance management is essential for safeguarding patient confidentiality.
